The employee performing the duties of this position is frequently required to walk, sit, talk, hear, bend, stoop, and reach. The employee may be occasionally required to manually lift, move, or carry up to 50 pounds. The employee is required to interact with staff and meet the demands of several different people. The employee is responsible for the work output of others. The employee occasionally works extended hours. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
The candidate will:
- Support staff in use of computers, software, and other information technologies.
- Procure, maintain and repair the cooperative’s information technologies.
- Maintain the licenses of critical cooperative software.
- Forecast the future technology needs of the Cooperative and plan for the procurement and implementation of them.
- Create and manage staff accounts for communication and curriculum resources.
- Collaborate with district information technology staff to ensure cooperative technologies smoothly integrate with district environments.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors for Internet service located at Cooperative facilities.
- Maintain the ownership of the domain name three-lakes.org.
- Create and maintain the cooperative website.
- Navigate the process for securing federal funds (Erate) for Internet services.
- Create local storage space for critical data and manage user access to the data.
- Protect critical data from loss by implementing and maintaining a backup strategy on-site as well as off-site.
- Track the state of the annual technology budget and perform the above responsibilities within the limits of the budget.
- Other duties as assigned by Director and Board of Directors in reference to his/her responsibilities.
Term of Employment:
12 month position
10 days paid vacation
